Design Philosophy

Hello. I’m Debbie, the owner and founder of Debra Fitting Designs and a graduate of the Interior Design Institute. I was born and raised in New Jersey and have been living in Connecticut for over 20 years. I am a proud wife and mother of 2 teenage boys. I recently earned my interior design degree from the Interior Design Institute and am now helping clients in Central Connecticut. My path to my design career was not conventional. I spent nearly 20 years in the corporate world, working in Management Consulting and then for a large Insurance Company. I have enjoyed and I am so very grateful for all I have learned in my years in business but I always wondered what it would be like to work as an interior designer. For as long as I can remember, I was interested in interior design and loved designing my home and helping friends
with their spaces as well but I never thought it was an option for me or that I would have the courage to make the change. I am proud to say I got up the courage and I am grateful I did. I feel fortunate to utilize my design skills and my business skills to help and inspire people to
find their style and finish their spaces. My goal with my business is to provide interior design services to all people on any budget. Whether you just want help with picking out paint colors or fixtures or you want a full home remodel, I am your designer.
